You don’t have to move on or let go or get over. No one asks people to ‘move on’ from their joy so you should not be expected to ‘move on’ from your grief.
Just as joy is a form of love… love of what is here, what we can see and hear and touch, grief is also love… love of what is no longer here, what we can no longer see and hear and touch.
Joy and grief are both ways of loving
And just as moments of pure joy will stay with you forever, so will moments of grief because both change you.
The sadness, rage and devastation of losing someone you love are not inconvenient obstacles to get over but new aspects of life to live around.
